Tip 1. Good preparation
Good preparation for a school trip is half the battle. As a chaperone, you’ve likely already received the necessary information from the school regarding the rules, the names of the children in your group, and so on. If not, be sure to ask for it. Make a list well in advance of what you want to bring and whether there are any items you still need to pick up. Also check with the school to make sure you’re not bringing unnecessary items.
Tip 2. First-aid kit for minor accidents
Pack a small first-aid kit with items such as face wipes, band-aids, iodine, insect bite ointment, and a cream for scrapes, bumps, and bruises.

Find out where the park’s first aid station is located and write down the emergency number for the park you’re visiting. You don’t want to be caught off guard.

Agree on a meeting point and where thechildren should go if they losesight of their group. Show these locations to the children and discuss the landmarks with them.
