Cas de Ranger Experience Question 1
Question 1
The 10-letter word
WILD BOARS
The wild boar is an ancestor of the "domestic" pig. The females are called sows and care for their young. These young are also known as piglets or piglets. The adult males are called boars and live alone. They have large tusks, also known as tusks. These tusks continue to grow until the boar is about four years old. Wild boars live in groups, which are called a “herd” or “pack.”
Wild boars are omnivores. They eat acorns, chestnuts, roots, and tubers, as well as worms, larvae, and sometimes even rodents. They often root around in the soil, searching for anything edible. You’ll find churned-up soil all over the Veluwe, especially in the fall! That’s when the boars are busy building up fat reserves for the winter.
