The May break is just around the corner, and that means one thing: it’s time for a family outing that everyone will be talking about for days to come! When is the May break in 2026?
The Dutch government has standardized the May holiday schedule for all regions. The following schedule will apply in 2026:
📍 Northern, Central, and Southern Regions
Mandatory May holiday: Saturday, April 25 through Sunday, May 3, 2026 (Week 18).
Counseling Week (with an extra week beforehand): April 18–26, 2026. Many schools across all regions observe this Counseling Week, which means that in practice, children often have two weeks off: from April 18 through May 3.

The Great Spring Festival – in full bloom
Throughout the May holiday, Julianatoren is hosting The Great Spring Festival, our most cheerful spring event. The park has been transformed into a colorful spring wonderland filled with flowers, decorations, and a program packed with spring shows featuring all the familiar Julianatoren characters.
What can you expect during your May vacation visit?

Julianatoren is designed for children ages 2 to 10, and you can see that everywhere. From the youngest visitors to the brave roller coaster enthusiasts: there’s something for everyone. Here’s a selection of what’s open during the May break:
- Jul’s Rollerskates – our fun-filled kids’ roller coaster for a wonderful first roller coaster experience
- Dino Tour – hop in the cart and come face to face with lifelike dinosaurs
- Helicopter Flight – Soar over the park in your own helicopter
- Horse Ride and Safari Ride – perfect for the little ones
- The Haunted Castle – for the adventurers among us
