What does a spider have to do with Halloween? Sure, they’re insects with creepy long legs. But where else does the tradition come from? In the past, spiders—along with black cats and rats—were seen as the witch’s companions. They can also be found in all kinds of Halloween spots, like haunted houses, cemeteries, dungeons, and dark caves. These places are full of spiderwebs, so spiders are bound to be there too. Creepy, isn’t it?

Did you know that…

• Spiders are everywhere?! They even say you’re always within 3 meters of a spider. So take a good look around you!
• Did you know that a spiderweb is actually liquid, just like water? It’s only when the silk comes into contact with the air that it hardens, allowing the spider to start building its web.
